Lattice Tower Fabrication
IGC Philippines is entering its next phase of expansion providing telecommunication
towers and lattice towers for 500KV and 328KV applications.
A new lattice tower fabrication building has been constructed at Trece
Martires commissioned in July 2002. It is used for cutting and punching
angles for the towers.
It is the Philippine Government's initiative to electrify across all
rural areas of the Philippines.
IGC Philippines has been manufacturing, galvanizing & shipping bundles
of poles to Mirant enabling them to fulfil their commitment to the National
Government to the 1,000 Barangay distribution system.
In the second half of 2002, IGCP secured Digitel/Alcatel type approval
for all lattice towers 30 to 70 metres in height. An order for 5 large
30 metre telecom poles and 15 tubular monopoles from Alcatel has been
received and is in production. Each monopole weighs 5.8 metric tonnes.
